Policy Committees
A Policy Committee is an advisory body that provides members with an avenue to inquire about all functions of the Fund. However, the ultimate responsibility of the Fund rests with the Trustee.
It is a requirement that, if a superannuation Sub-plan has more than 49 members, all reasonable steps must be taken to establish a Policy Committee consisting of equal numbers of employer and employee representatives. (Sub-plans which have betwen 5 and 49 members must also establish a Policy Committee but only if a formal request is received in writing from five or more members).
